These bold materials are not just for aesthetics—they also enhance light reflection and room depth. Homeowners are opting for vertical slat panels in contrasting colors like dark gray and oak to make their TVs look like gallery pieces.
These materials also serve functional purposes. For instance, steel and UV-coated metals provide durable surfaces that are resistant to moisture and wear—ideal for homes with kids or high traffic. Meanwhile, UV marble offers a glossy, sophisticated look without the maintenance of real stone.
Designers report a spike in demand for mixed-material installations where warm woods meet cool metals and stone contrasts with matte finishes. “We’re blending luxury with comfort,” says designer Alan Viera. “People want beauty that feels both timeless and tech-savvy.”
